My Daughter, Take My Hand, I Am Your Breastplate of Righteousness

Ephesians 6:11,14 Put on the whole armor of God…Stand therefore,…having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Isaiah 59:17 For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak.

Jeremiah 23:5,6 "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Philippians 3:9 . . . and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

Psalm 37:5,6 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday,

Isaiah 32:17 The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.

2Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

1Peter 2:24 . . . who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Romans 4:5-8 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: "BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS ARE FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE SINS ARE COVERED; BLESSED IS THE MAN TO WHOM THE LORD SHALL NOT IMPUTE SIN."

Thank You Heavenly Father

Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always give me Your righteousness as my righteousness.

Jesus Christ was made sin with your sin so you could be made righteous with His righteousness.

Do you believe it? Do you believe that because of His love, there was a divine exchange at the cross? He took your sin and gave you His righteousness. Through your faith in Jesus Christ, you can believe this and put on Jesus as your breastplate of righteousness.

Jesus’ righteousness is described as a breastplate which can be seen as a defensive weapon. In war, a breastplate protects your heart. Your heart is continually vulnerable to the enemy’s attack by others and most of all your own thoughts about yourself.

It is so easy for you to identify with the wrongs from your past. You feel justified in holding on to them because of guilt and shame. All that does is block you from seeing yourself the way Jesus sees you.

When you do this, you momentarily forget what Jesus has already provided for you at the cross. When you embrace His forgiveness and His healing, you will see past sins and illnesses the way He sees them. You will see yourself as His child who has been given His power to overcome any arrow of the evil one. You will not see yourself as a victim.

You will make a conscious choice to put your faith in His promise of His righteousness remembering that living for righteousness is not based on your good works but on Jesus’ finished work on the cross working in you.

This will free you to know your true identity in Jesus Christ.

To know your true God-given identity is a process of letting go of lies and embracing His truth about yourself.

My Daughter, Jesus wants that for you more than you can even know.

Start by searching your Bible and you will find every gift He has for you, the breastplate of righteousness being one.

The whole of Psalm 118 speaks of God’s steadfast and enduring love. In response to His love, pray Psalm 118:19-21 to ask the Lord to give you entrance into His righteousness.

Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, And I will praise the LORD. This is the gate of the LORD, Through which the righteous shall enter. I will praise You, For You have answered me, and have become my salvation.
