Thank You Heavenly Father
Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always shepherd me.
All of the Psalms are a picture of the love and provision of Jesus Christ. There is a divine connection between Psalm 23 and Psalm 16 that describes the relationship between God and His children.
Psalm 23 describes God as your Shepherd and the guidance and protection He has for you, while Psalm 16 serves as your response of trust in His guidance and protection.
As your Shepherd, Jesus went before you to show you the path that will bring you into a forever relationship with your Heavenly Father. He provides the path of faith that was broken by sin but created new by the life of Jesus and his sacrifice at the cross.
As your Shepherd, Jesus leads you by example. He chose to come to earth as a man to show you that, if you follow Him, you can live a life led by taking the path of righteousness.
Because He is your Shepherd, you respond to every promise of guidance with your faith and joy in every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. He tells you there will be trials along life’s path but not to lose heart. Your faith in Jesus will enable you to face those trials knowing that He will provide His protection with His unending promises. The most comforting promise is that He will never leave you or forsake you.
Jesus Christ was, is and always will be your Good Shepherd so you can rest knowing that His protection and guidance covers your yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows.
May Jesus’ words in John 10:11 come to your remembrance when you need His guidance and protection.
Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."
My Daughter, Jesus is your Good Shepherd, and you are His little lamb. Let that truth go deep into your heart.
