Welcome to the Introduction of Section 2, where you will draw near to Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:8,9 …"THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART" (that is, the word of faith which we preach):   that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

In 381 AD, the fathers of the early church drafted a profession of faith called the Nicene Creed. The document affirmed the church’s belief in the Heavenly Father, their belief in Jesus Christ as God who is eternally begotten of the Father and born of the Virgin Mary, and their belief in the Holy Spirit.

Below is the portion of the Nicene Creed that declares who Jesus Christ is:

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom will have no end.

This document served as a declaration of faith.  For us, the entire Bible serves as the complete declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.

Most people have heard about Jesus but haven't taken the next step toward a relationship with Him. Have you made that decision about who Jesus Christ is to you? Have you considered what He has done for you?

By becoming a Man, Jesus united you with the eternal God.

Do you want to know Jesus as your God? If you do, you can pray something like this:

"I choose to believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior and ask You, Jesus, to be the Lord in my life. Amen."

If you prayed this, you have started a relationship with Him and even the angels are rejoicing.

If you are not ready to pray that and you need help, just ask . . . "Jesus help me."

In either case, I am rejoicing because I know you have begun an amazing journey with God.

My daughter, every day you are in His presence and God is extending His hand to you and He will wait for you to place your hand in His.
