My Daughter, Take My Hand, to Be Gentle

Galatians 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is… gentleness… Against such there is no law.

Jesus’ words in Matthew 11:29,30 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Psalm 18:35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.

Philippians 1:29 For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,

Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Philippians 4:5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Thank You Heavenly Father

Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always help me to be gentle.

Jesus calls you blessed if you are persecuted for righteousness’ sake. Even though there seems to be a contradiction between the two words blessed and persecuted, there is never a contradiction with Jesus’ words or actions. Jesus willingly endured the cross for you knowing that the result would be that you would be blessed with eternal life.

In your life, God will use the opposition you experience and enable you to respond in love and gentleness. The result will be a blessing to others, and His Kingdom will be seen through your words and actions.

It is hard to endure opposition if it leads to betrayal. It is impossible if you try to do it with your own strength. The only way you can respond to someone who has betrayed you is to ask Jesus to help you to forgive. Remember forgiveness is God’s way out of your pain of opposition and betrayal. Forgiveness will open a space in your heart to hear His truth. His truth will stop the pain and enable you to be blessed. You will be blessed now on earth and blessed forever in heaven.

God is telling you in 2Timothy 2:24,25, my Daughter, that you can be gentle with others through your teaching, patience and correcting in humility.

And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,
