My Daughter, Take My Hand and Believe
Mark 9:23,24 Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"
Romans 4:19,20 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Mark 6:5,6 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief .
1Timothy 1:12,13 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
Jesus said in Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
John 20:30,31 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
Thank You Heavenly Father
Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always empower my faith.
Faith is an all-sufficient gift from God, so you do not need more faith to believe. God has also gifted you with free will to make choices. The reality about choice is that it can come from a place of belief or unbelief in your heart. With every decision you make, you are either exercising your faith or your unbelief.
If you choose unbelief, all you see is yourself and your own efforts. Consequently, you are blinded from seeing and receiving the goodness of God. The greatest obstacle in your life comes from not believing God
I think the biggest choice you must make in any situation is will you put your trust in God or yourself. In a crisis you can be like the father of the sick son who had looked to people and things for his son’s healing.
Jesus knew he loved his son very much. He also knew he had brought his son to the disciples, and they were not able to heal him because of unbelief. Jesus wanted the father and the son to believe in Him as the one true Healer.
The father’s honest answer to Jesus’ question about his faith astounds me. The father said he believed but asked for help with his unbelief.
Jesus’s love and compassion for the father, the son, the disciples, the crowd watching and for us astounds me even more.
God is always faithful to you, my Daughter, so let the words in Jude 1:20,21 empower your faith:
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
