My Daughter, Take My Hand and Trust Me

Psalm 91:1,2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

Psalm 18:25,26 With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless; With the pure You will show Yourself pure; And with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd.

Psalm 18:1-3 I will love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.

Romans 10:13 For "WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED."

Psalm 20:5,6 We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions. Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.

Psalm 37:3-7 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; . . .

Proverbs 16:20 He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he.

Thank You Heavenly Father

Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always be faithful to me.

The word “will” is a reoccurring word in many of the Psalms of David. He used that word to describe what God will do for him when he needed help. The word “will” implies trust.

David started experiencing hardships early in his life. Even as a boy, his father did not think him worthy to be brought before Samuel when Samuel came to anoint one of Jesse’s sons as king. God used Samuel to accomplish His will for David’s life. Samuel anointed David the king of Israel.

Throughout David’s life, David continued to endure trouble from his enemies, his family and friends. Because of his great faith in God, David was able to say, “my God, in Him I will trust.” Even in the face of great betrayals, David trusted God, gave Him thanks and rejoiced in His goodness.

You too will go through trials. When you do, will you be consumed by your present circumstances by choosing fear and discouragement, or will you trust God by choosing to see the value in what He is doing in your life through the trial.

Only wanting your end result hinders you from seeing the value in the journey. At the end of David’s life, God called him “a man after My own heart.” May He do the same for you.

God is trustworthy, my Daughter, so let Proverbs 3:5,6 be a path that will guide your heart:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
