I Am a Covenant God
Updated: Sep 19
My Daughter, Take My Hand, I Keep My Covenant With You
Deuteronomy 7:9 "Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;
Hebrews 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
1Corinthians 11:25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
Hebrews 8:10 FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS IN THEIR MIND AND WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
2Corinthians 3:4-6 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Hebrews 9:14,15 . . . how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
Hebrews 13:20,21 . . . may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen
Thank You Heavenly Father
Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always keep Your covenant with me.
A covenant is a promise, and our God is a covenant keeping God. All His promises He has made to you are Yes and Amen. He never changes His mind. He will never stop loving you nor will He ever abandon you. No matter what you experience in life, His love and commitment to you will never end.
From the beginning of God’s relationship with man on the earth. He has been in covenant with mankind as well as with individuals. God entered covenants with Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David to name a few.
God also made a covenant with mankind after Adam and Eve sinned. He promised to save the world through the seed of a woman - who is Jesus Christ.
In the appointed time, the Father sent His Son and Jesus willingly went to the cross for you. Jesus’ shed blood on the cross has established a new covenant between Him and you.
You entered this covenant with God when you declared your belief in Jesus’ finished work on the cross for you. You value that covenant when you choose to be obedient to the terms laid out for you in Scripture. Nothing more is needed for you to enter the abundant life here on earth and eternally in Heaven. Jesus did it all.
Beside your covenant with God, you have covenant relationships with other people. Paul gives you the guidelines for those relationships in 2Corinthians 6:14:
Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
Your covenant with God will always be the foundation on which you build every relationship you have with other people.
Remember God is in Covenant keeping God.
My Daughters, ask the Father to speak to you about the covenants you have with other people and the covenant He has with you.
Remember His word in Psalm 89:34:
My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.
His words confirm His faithfulness to you so you can trust when you lift your hand in praise to Him, He will take your hand and never let go.
