I Am The God of Mercy

My Daughter, Take My Hand, I Am The God of Mercy
Psalm 59:17 To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy.
Psalm 136:1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
1Chronicles 16:41 …give thanks to the LORD, because His mercy endures forever.
Proverbs 28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
Psalm 107:21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
Exodus 20:5,6 . . . For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
Matthew 9:13 Jesus says But go and learn what this means: 'I DESIRE MERCY AND NOT SACRIFICE.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."
Psalm 100:3-5 Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
And Jesus told us in Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.
Thank You, Heavenly Father
Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always show me mercy.
Scripture says God is the God of mercy. That means every thought He has of you is bathed in His mercy that comes from His heart of love for you.
At times we find it hard to follow the Father’s example and we will only extend mercy to someone who we believe deserves it. This is exactly opposite of what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. While we were yet sinners, Jesus died to provide our forgiveness and our healing.
If you believe that God’s mercy lasts forever, you must conclude that His mercy is not depended on your choices. That is because some of our choices honor God and some do not. The good news is your choices do not determine His mercy to you. His mercy is rooted in who He is. It is rooted in His love.
God wants you to extend mercy to others out of your obedience to Him. One way to be able to extend mercy is to first extend forgiveness.
Then remember God forgave them on the cross and so you must as well. God knows their hearts and we do not. As we walk by faith and not by sight, we will be able to do what He is calling us to do. This may not be a one and done experience but a continual process ending in peace and mercy in your heart.
There are many verses in the Bible my Daughters that remind you of His mercy. The mercy He is asking you to receive and the mercy He wants you to extend to others.
Isaiah 49:13 confirms His Mercy to you:
Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted.
