My Daughter, Take My Hand, I Am The God of Hope

Romans 15:13   Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 40:31   But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Psalm 33:20-22   Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, Just as we hope in You.

Psalm 71:14   But I will hope continually, And will praise You yet more and more.

Psalm 130:5-7   I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.  My soul waits for the Lord More than those who watch for the morning— Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.  O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption.

Romans 5:1-4   Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Romans 8:24,25   For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Colossians 3:1,2   If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Thank You Heavenly Father

Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always lead me to hope in You.

Have you ever spoken to someone about receiving the provisions of God and have them answer you with ‘I hope so?’  To me that answer implies that there is room for doubt in their heart. So, I wonder what is stopping them from believing what God has already promised.

I believe the key that keeps us from looking at the future with discouragement and opens us up to seeing it with hope is the art of waiting.

There is a profound connection between hope and waiting.  You cannot wait for something without having hope in your heart that God will bring it to pass, and you cannot hope without waiting on God to answer you.

David is a wonderful example of someone who waited with hope.  He was anointed king when he was 15 years old.  He endured many hardships for another 15 years before he became king.  Look at his Psalms and you will see him crying out to the Lord and yet never wavering in his faith in God’s promises to him.  He waited and, in the end, he reigned as king for 40 years.

You too can look past your present circumstances by remembering that God never goes back on His word and then put your hope in His promises that were placed in your heart by the God of hope.

God is Hope, so lift your hand in praise to Him and He will take your hand and never let go.

With your hand in His, my Daughters, profess your faith in Him for what you are hoping for from 2Corinthians 4:16-18:

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
