I Am Your Refuge and Fortress
Updated: Sep 19
My Daughter, Take My Hand, I Am Your Refuge and Fortress
As seen in Psalm 91
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling place;
For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation."
Thank You, Heavenly Father
Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always protect me.
When you are in a battle, one of the most effective weapons satan will use against you is to keep your eyes on the problem rather than where your help is going to come from.
The enemy will tell you that your battle is with another person; a sickness; some type of lack in your life, a lack of faith or even that God is not listening. These lies will keep you vulnerable to torment and from seeing God.
But God says your battle is not against flesh and blood but against the lies of the enemy. He says, I took all your sicknesses on the cross to give you healing. He says, I provided all your needs in Christ Jesus. He says your faith is My gift to you and My gifts are always enough for any situation. He says, “Call upon Me and I will answer you.”
When your delicate heart gets broken, God shows up even stronger allowing you to feel Him pressing into your heart.
Psalm 91 is one of the greatest weapons of protection so pick up your sword and declare the truth of how much you are loved and protected.
My Daughter, see God as your Protector and thank Him for every word He has spoken over you. Go to Him in your need for protection.
Speak the words of Psalm 62:5-8 to reassure your precious heart that He is your Refuge and Strength:
My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah
