My Daughter, Take My Hand, I Am Your Shield of Faith

Ephesians 6:13,16 Put on the whole armor of God, …. taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought; but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Colossians 2:6,7 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Romans 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

Luke 17:5,6 And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith." So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you."

Mark 11:22,23 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says."

Thank You Heavenly Father

Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always strengthen my faith.

One of the greatest strategies of the enemy is to try to destroy your faith in God and your faith in your God-given identity. Your shield of faith in God will help you discern His truth and resist the lies of the wicked one.

Faith is believing God’s words to you. At times you may not understand them or even believe them, but you obey Him anyway.

David is an excellent example of a man who trusted God and trusted in who he was in Him. Even though David endured opposition from some people, he never wavered from believing in God and who God called him to be. David put his faith in God and his God-given identity and then waited for God to make it happen.

David’s faith in God showed him the way to resist the negative talk from his brothers or trust in someone else’s armor when he faced Goliath. David met the enemy with the shield of his faith which was the name of the LORD of hosts. David’s faith was enough to defeat the enemy.

God is perfectly faithful. People are not. When you look to others and continually expect them to be perfectly faithful, at some point you might be disappointed. They will never be able to fill the need in your life that only God can satisfy.

God is always faithful so you can trust Him, my Daughter, with everything that concerns you.

In Galatians 2:20 you are reminded of what Jesus has done for you and because of that truth how you are able to live a life of faith:

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
