My Daughter, Take My Hand and Pursue What is Good

1Thessalonians 5:15-22,26 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil….Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.

Psalm 37:27 Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore.

Romans 12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

Psalm 97:10 You who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

Romans 12:17,18 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

Thank You Heavenly Father

Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always guide me to pursue what is good.

If God says it is good, it is good all the time. God says what is good for you will also be good for everyone else.

God says the first step in pursuing what is good is to not repay evil for evil to anyone. Forgiveness is an effective tool in defeating the enemy’s temptation to retaliate and to be open to God’s direction to pursuing what is good.

Then God gives us the details on how to pursue what is good for ourselves and others. He tells us that the ability to do this will only come from our intimate relationship with Him. Specifically, He tells us the way to pursue Him is through our rejoicing, praying, being thankful, embracing the prophetic, His discernment, resisting the enemy and treating others with love.

Remember my Daughter you will reap what you sow. Sow what God says is good from 1 Peter 3:8,9:

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
