Walk in the Spirit

My Daughter, Take My Hand, and Walk in the Spirit
Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit
Galatians 5:16,17 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
2Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Ephesians 5:1,2 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
1John 2:5,6 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
1John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Jesus’ words in John 13:34,35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
Thank You Heavenly Father
Your love, the love of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit will always help me to walk in the Spirit.
Jesus calls us blessed when we walk in the Spirit rather than our own desires. We can see this most clearly in the story of the Good Samaritan. Jesus said there was a Jewish man who was wounded and left for dead out in the open for all to see.
God brought this man’s need to three people. The first was a priest and the second was a Levite. Jesus said they both saw the man and then passed by on the other side. Interestingly, both men had occupations that served God by serving the Jewish people.
The third person was a Samaritan, who was hated by the Jewish people. He could have easily felt justified in not stopping to help a Jew. Yet Jesus said he was the one who saw the man and had compassion. Walking in the fruit of the Spirit, he gave all he had to help this man. Jesus describes, in great detail, how he provided for every one of his needs, and how he did it at his own expense.
The good Samaritan recognized a need and responded with God-given compassion. Let us also respond with God-given compassion when the Holy Spirit shows us a need in others or ourselves.
God is showing you, my Daughter, in 2Corinthians 1:3,4 that He will have already put in you the comfort that is needed to meet the needs of His children.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
