In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Matthew 6:9-13
Prayer is a Spiritual Discipline designed by the Father, taught by Jesus, and guided by His Holy Spirit to help us to come into His presence and to know Him intimately.
When we draw near to Him in prayer:
We start by praising Him as Our Father. We acknowledge that even His name is sacred and worthy to be reverenced.
We declare that His kingdom, not the world’s kingdom, is the kingdom we want to be a part of here and now.
We trust that He will provide everything we will ever need each day. Even His mercies are new every morning.
We recognize our sin and know our need for forgiveness. With our forgiveness, He shows us the need to forgive those we have been holding a record of wrong against.
We ask for His protection from the evil one who is continually tempting us to sin knowing that in and through Him we have deliverance.
We end our prayer by praising Him for His forever kingdom full of power and glory.
